Three actors required to play supporting roles in thriller film - Dublin

Casting is underway for short film Taryn Barker: Solitary Soul.
Principal photography begins in mid February 2012.

We are looking for a young female actress around 8-11 to play the 9 year old Annabella Barker.
Also looking for a female actress aged between 17-24 to play the 18 year old Jess
And looking for a female actress aged between 35-50 to play mother Odette Barker

The plot of Taryn Barker: Solitary Soul
A grey, dark afternoon. Taryn (18) is outside the school with a gang of her friends, laughing and joking whilst passing cigarettes around each other. Waiting nearby is Taryn’s sister, Annabelle (9). Annabelle pleads with Taryn to bring her home, however Taryn just ignores her, and Annabelle begins making the journey alone. Outside the school Taryn and her friend Jess notice a man in a car staring at them, Jess riles the driver up before he drives off. The mysterious car begins to follow Annabelle

Upon returning home, Taryn discovers that Annabelle is missing. Her mother is sick with worry, she is sent to her room. The police arrive to inform the mother that they cant issue a search warrant for another twelve hours. Upon overhearing the conversation Taryn sneaks out her bedroom window and goes to find her sister.

After hours of searching, Taryn finds herself staring at an old, abandoned oil factory, she notices the same car parked near. Thinking that Annabelle may be inside the factory, Taryn goes to investigate.

Inside the factory, it is pitch dark. Taryn takes out her phone, and uses the light from the screen for what little illumination it can offer. Taryn dials her sisters phone number, and upon ringing, begins to hear her sisters ring tone coming from somewhere upstairs.

Taryn follows the sounds of the phone, walking down the darkened hallways, and up the stairs to the second floor. She finds herself in a room, illuminated by candlelight, and to her horror, finds the beaten and bloodied form of her younger sister, sprawled out on the floor. Taryn does what she can to help, but it is no use. The child dies in her arms.

Back in the house, Taryn has finished recalling her story to the detectives.
Outside, the two detectives prepare to leave, but before they can enter the car, Taryn seizes detective Beckett’s hand, looks deep into his eyes, and makes him promise he will find whoever killed her sister. Beckett makes the promise.

Taryn Barker is a web series that delves into the mythology of the protagonist Taryn Barker. Bringing a dark tragic and gothic world to a new audience.

Taryn is a demon hunter, she has hunted monsters of many kinds over the last six years. She began hunting when her young sister Annabelle Barker was raped and murdered. The killer was never found, this made Taryn take the law into her own hands. Only to discover much worse things lurk in the darkness.

The web series begins in the middle of her story.
A young woman by the name of Taryn barker has been brought in for questioning by the police over the murder of a man. Detective Beckett is trying to piece together the pieces of the puzzle to find out why Taryn decapitated her victim.

Known as an unstable and dangerous woman after the death of her sister. Taryn lived life on the edge hunting 'demons' to find the real killer of her young sibling. Unsuccessful in her retribution Taryn now faces life threatening consequences.

Is she truly guilty or does something really sinister lurk beneath the truth?
