Empire Of Nowhere is a bold subversive short film about a disadvantaged young man trying to make sense of his life in a world gone mad.

I one day hope to shoot this is a feature but in the meantime have decided to do the opening scene as a short film on its own.

Welcome to The 21st century. Crime and substance abuse is at an alltime high. Stocks are plummeting.The war on Terrorism is casting a grim shadow over the entire world and every country is on the brink of an economic and social disaster. Yet people are too obsessed with reality television, the latest celebrity sex tape and Faceboook status updates to see the bloody writing on the wall.

In the midst of all this global chaos 19 year old high school drop out convicted criminal and petty hoodlum BRIAN ARCHER is broke unemployed hung over and mad as hell.
BRIAN lives alone in a nameless town in Rural Australia where life is cheap drugs are even cheaper and the future isn’t just bleak its non existent.

BRIAN however is not a victim or a mindless thug. He wants a better life but with no money no job and no identity it feels unattainable. He refuses to give up. BRIAN vows to change the world and get his revenge on a society that has humiliated him degraded him and cast him aside at every turn.

This is the beginning of his journey…
