Reality and Biscuits are a fledgling film company who are about to move to the next level. We have a combined background which spans the BBC, TalkbackThames and the RSC. Over the last 18 months we have produced four short films with ecstatic response around the world. Moreover we are an organisation that cares about people and are committed to nurturing and developing careers with lasting relationships.
We are looking for 1 outstanding lead male actor (playing age 30 years old) and 5 glamorous female actors required for an innovative 5 minute short - THE DATING GAME – a surreal comedy that explores the mischief that a wannabe Bond villain inflicts upon a group of women on a blind-date to the death.
The piece brilliantly collides Bond Villains with TV gameshows. In five minutes we build a refined blend of Ernst Blofeld and Simon Cowell then add a twist of lemon. Join us on this epic journey.
The breakdown is as follows:
PHIL – 30 years old; cultured but a little rough round the edges and very wet behind the ears; rugged with a good looking exterior but also suave and sardonic. He is of ordinary means with extravagant taste but with time on his hands. He is also a social recluse and has learned everything from watching outrageously maniacal Bond villains and television game shows. However underneath the slightly theatrical sociopathic exterior lies an innocent.
Of utmost importance therefore is the ability for the actor to project a sinister aura. Perhaps even more important is the ability to create a natural comedic performance while holding our attention with his good looks. He will need to play bad as much as good and alternate between the two with playful charm and charisma occasionally hinting at his underlying vulnerability.
The film will help propel your dreams while giving you a prestigious credit for your portfolio.
Preliminary half day filming: w/c January 30th.
Main shoot: w/c March 12 and March 19.
Auditions: Thursday 26 January 12 – 6 pm - recalls Friday 27th January 12-6 pm.
