Film & Stage Crew

Currently editing horror/drama 'Love Hurts' with DNA Pictures.

In my short 'Venus' Key', as writer-director I was in charge of a crew of up to 10 people. Through this my teamwork abilities have evolved along with my leadership experience; so much so that I was then voted for, by my peers, to write and direct the group project 'A Walking Man' with a bigger budget and crew.

During my Cinematography course each student made their own personal film shot on 16mm Film and a constant rotation of crew experience followed. I have performed roles such as: writer, director, cinematographer, sound recordist, art director and general assistance.

I also have documentary experience with 'Graduation Video 2010', in which many students and staff from my old school were interviewed and filmed. With the assistance of two friends, we then contacted and organised its distribution throughout the school. All of the editing was done by myself and the film lasted 43minutes.

Photography

Photography experience:Photography studentHas a studio space:No
Type of camera equipment:35mm SLR/DSLR
I originally used a portfolio full of photography for the interview into Ballyfermot College of Further Education and was accepted into the two courses I applied for.

Through the Cinematography course at BCFE, I now have a huge knowledge of black and white film photography and dark room processes. I also have an advanced understanding of photoshop and image repairing.

I have recently invested over a thousand euro into a new HD camera and equipment and hope to rapidly expand my portfolio to a professional level with the addition of my website acoconnor.com (currently under maintenance)
