Maria Fiorentini is an actor, director and editor, she also has experience as producer, assistant director and casting director.
She has studied acting for stage and camera in both Rome and Milan since 2001: in Rome she attended Corrado Croce's Teatro Stabile di Ostia Antica School of Acting and Mauro Pini's Chi è di Scena School of Acting while in Milan she studied under Andrea Faciocchi at the Extramondo School of Acting.
In 2011 Maria performed in three stage plays in Rome: "I Crepati" directed by Chiara Cucinotta, "Ladies' Dressmaker" directed by Benedetto Gandolfo and "Amori Last Minute" directed by Rosario Autiero.
Since coming to Dublin in 2012 Maria attended professional training courses and acting classes organized by Terry Mc Mahon, David Scott, John Dawson, Theatre Lovett, the Meisner technique under Robbie Byrne and Gaiety School of Acting. She also participated to the 30 days monologue challenge course organized by Manuel Puro.
In 2014 Maria performed at an interactive mystery show at Cinnamon Garden in Ashbourne, Dublin.
From 2014 Maria has been involved in several short films organized by independent film makers in Dublin. Some of these were selected in national and international film festival , in particular “Within” directed by Sofia Bullones where she had the role of Marta, a psychic that helped a mother to stay in touch with her stillborn child, selected for Dublin International Short Film and Music Festival, MAC Horror Fest in Brazil, Horror Online Art in Spain and “Container” directed by Baz David about a young immigrant mother on the streets of Dublin has been selected for several film festivals including Chicago Irish Film Festival, Dublin's Underground Cinema film festival and Cork's Pav Reel film festival. In August 2015 she was awarded Best Actress at the Pav Reel film festival for her performance in this role.
Maria directed, produced and edited 4 short films , “Gamblers”(2015), “Heavenly Sins” (2015), “Storm of Changes” (2016), “A Christmas to Remember” (in post –production).
She was also casting director and assistant director in “The History of This Moment” directed by Baz David.
In Repeal, directed by Karl Callan, Maria plays the role of Renee, a muslim woman that came to Dublin after being raped, and who has been negated the possibility of having an abortion, she is starring in the comedy film “Landlords gone bad, The Movie” a film by Gerard Daly.
