from a young age I would always pick up a microphone or a hairbrush and sing around the house as she grew up listening to a variety of artists in the household while living with her mum and dad. As she got older, she went on to sing in school talent shows, which was when she knew with certainty that she wanted to pursue a career singing and performing.

Pursuing her passion soon after, Demi McMahon began to perform at local gigs when she was only 16. Eventually she would make a name for herself and began entertaining fans at bigger events like Fake Festival, The Edinburgh Fringe, Oktoberfest, Harley Davidson Festival and Fife Pride all around the country and further South of Scotland for what has now been the last ten years of her life.

With musical inspirations ranging from artists Eva Cassidy, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and Jessie J to Amy Winehouse, Bob Marley and Radiohead amongst others, Demi McMahon has written and sang a variety of pop songs, dance hits, reggae tracks and soft rock ballads over the years. Some of which includes ‘Party, Don’t Forget About the Reggae,’ her featured vocals on ‘Remember’ by MaDCat & Nicky Mei and her featured lyrics and vocals on ‘If I could See’ by Kerry Reeve.

In 2017, Demi had the opportunity to support Malcolm Bruce (son of late Jack Bruce) on his scottish tour Clarks in Dundee. Jump a couple years later, she reached the regional final at the 2019 Uk Open Mic competition, singing her own songs throughout the competition including her single ‘Party.’

Demi McMahon would go on to do even more in 2019, singing in front of 15,000 people at one of Scotland’s largest colourful festivals Dundee Pride, supported Stevie Mcrorrie (The voice 2015 winner) on his scottish tour in a venue in Dundee called Church and closed the year releasing her cover album Music On My Mind, which had her own twists on popular songs.

Always following her passion to sing, Demi McMahon started early 2020 making a TV appearance on a BBC Scotland show called Love Song, which gave her a cheeky chance to express her love of singing. Reflecting on her journey, she is grateful for the support from her mum, dad, family, friends and fans.

Demi McMahon - Singer, songwriter and musician Demi McMahon is one of Scotland’s quickest growing upbeat and colourful artists. She not only grabs people’s attention with her warm, caring personality, but she also captivates listeners all around the globe with her smooth, power pop energy and mesmerising vocals.

Demi McMahon always feels humbled when people express themselves to her as fans that they enjoy her music. However, she is not only a humble artist, but she is also a selfless person doing a lot of charity events to help people while doing her passion over the years.

Working as a healthcare assistant in the NHS when she’s not out singing and performing, she comes across people who have said music made them cope better when they felt down. Reflecting on this, Demi hosted a music charity event, where the funds went towards the Samaritans who were so appreciative of the funds and the fact she was able to get people to continue speaking about the worthy cause again.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, Demi McMahon continues to mix her passions for music and singing with charity to help others. Now, she is releasing a new dance song ‘TRY’ with her vocals alongside producing from duo group Audio Phunk to not only continue presenting her music and her singing to peoples ears, but also to raise money for NHS Tayside during these surreal times.

While fans may first see Demi McMahon’s hair doo before they see her, they will without a doubt hear her voice and her passion for helping others and her love for music loud and clear! ‘TRY’ is a fitting song for what the world is currently dealing with and this is just the beginning for Demi McMahon and her journey into a new decade!
