Irene's performance highlight includes her off-Broadway debut as Teresa in The Jeweler's Shop by Karol Wojtila with The MasterWorks Festival Theatre Company 2012 in Theatre 315. She is currently in Asia and is looking forward to being part of performances in the South East Asian region.
Irene discovered her passion for acting while she was studying at Melbourne University in 2000. Her first stage role as an 'eight-year-old' drew her into the world of the performing arts, and she has since pursued training in voice and acting (Australia: VCA, NIDA, 16th Street, and Melbourne Actor's Lab; USA: MasterWorks Festival).
From 2003, Irene began training and performing with the MasterWorks Festival Theatre Company (USA) where she has had the privilege of studying under Rich Swingle, Patricia Mauceri, Susan Somerville Brown, John Kirby, Sean Gaffney, Catherine Caffney, Bob Borwick, Peter Parros, Jesse Corti and many others.
Ten years after her debut stage performance, Irene was delighted to find herself on stage as THE SMALLEST CHILD, THIRD CRONE, and the understudy of of ANNIE in 'The Miracle Worker'. She was also the instructor for the Improv Workshops for The 2010 MasterWorks Theatre Company and opened the Annual Improv Night.
Irene has completed NIDA - The Actor (Melbourne) course under Luciano Martucci, Shaun Goss and Nicholas Goughlan. She has been studying the Alexander Technique at 16th Street with Penny McDonald, and is currently developing her craft under Peter Kalos at The Melbourne Actor's Lab.
