‘Their Eyes’ is a tense cultural thriller told through the eyes of Martin, a young White Australian boy who must make a decision of where to pledge his loyalty amidst a burgeoning post 9/11 cultural tension infecting an everyday Australian primary school.

Martin

Lead Role. The protagonist of the film is named Martin, an impressionable, insecure and confused young boy who wants nothing more than to belong to Jack's gang. - He is small in stature and very timid. - Is hesitant in the way he speaks but must be able to be fiery when the time comes. - Maintains a distant relationship to his father Alan. - Silent and calculating but socially inept.

Amira

Lead Role. Amira is a young Muslim girl who also lies on the perimeter of this school hierarchy but due to her culture. She offers Martin the potential of a friendship, something that they both truly need. - Amira radiates love and she is a free spirit despite being maligned by her peers. - Must have a bubbly presence. - She maintains a loving relationship with her mother Zahra. - Confident and charismatic with entrancing eyes. She is not afraid to stand up for what she knows is right.

He is a wealthy man who has run out of options in the desire to connect with his socially inept son. - We want this actor to be able to show the shades of grey in Alan. - Must be able to speak with the disdain of a rich, white male. - Has a few racist undertones that reveal themselves in the climax of the film.
