We will be shooting it keeping in line with Covid safety guidelines. An example of this, will be a DOP setting up a camera in someones house and then leaving before the actor can come in and just press record themselves. The actor will also need to be comfortable with shooting in their own homes.

Stacey

Lydia’s daughter. Glued to her phone 24/7. Takes great pleasure in making her mum feel about as wanted as a verruca. Daily fee of £125 x 2 days Film to be shown at film festivals around the UK

Female, aged 16 to 18

Applications closed 23 July 2020.

Rita

Rita is 41 but spends a lot of time pretending she’s 39. The pandemic is going great for her: she’s signed up to 16 new classes, has shipped her kids off to her parents, and she’s #livingherbestlife. Rita is the mum who sets up a Whatsapp group to organise the teacher’s present and asks for £10 from everyone to ‘get a little something’. She’s the mum who drives the biggest 4x4 to school even though she lives a two-minute walk away. She’s the mum we’d all love to punch in the face.

Female, aged 40 to 42

Applications closed 23 July 2020.

Lydia

Before the pandemic, Lydia was just about holding things together. Now, she’s neck-high in homeschooling paperwork that neither of her kids care about and she’s not sure she does either. Her mental health is faltering, her reliance on chocolate and carbs has soared, and she just wants someone to cut the crap and tell her they’re in a worse situation than her.

Female, aged 40 to 45

Applications closed 23 July 2020.

Claire

34. Full-time mum. Although firmly signed up to project pandemic fear, Claire has so far been putting a brave rictus smile face on things (until today, that is). Every day during lockdown, Claire and her kids have painted a new window scene depicting the nation’s heroes. She likes to think it will brighten up people’s walks. (It won’t).

Female, aged 33 to 35

Applications closed 23 July 2020.

Steve

48. Single parent, delivery driver, Steve, knows stuff. He knows Paul McCartney died in 1966. He knows Neil Armstrong never landed on the moon. And he absolutely knows Covid-19 is a made up religion designed to keep us all in place. Steve is spending “the pandemic” letting the kids go feral while it’s his turn to have them, and when they’re gone, you’ll find him in his shed, working on his theories and half-baked inventions. The actor doesn't need a shed, this can be worked around.

Male, aged 48 to 49
