Hi, I’m Greg the writer and producer of the working film title ‘Stan’s Struggle’. Myself and a group of both student and independent filmmakers are in the pre-production stages of this feature-length film. A link to the editor’s latest piece is available upon application.
THE FILM:
The film will be centred around the character of Stan who is struggling to overcome his porn addiction and in doing so learns more about himself and the world around him. The film genre is comedy (mostly tongue-in-cheek humour) with certain elements of neo-noir.
SHOOTING:
Due to COVID-19 restrictions on meeting in groups we have had to resort to a staggered-shooting timetable. This means that scenes requiring less cast members will be shot first.
CAST REQUIRED:
The scenes we are shooting first are all office-based scenes, so please only apply if you have access to smart attire (i.e men should have a blazer, tie, smart shirt and trousers). All cast will receive an IMDb credit and can use footage in their showreel upon the film’s distribution for free public viewing. PLEASE NOTE THAT NONE OF THESE CHARACTERS ARE REQUIRED TO PERFORM ACTS OF A SEXUAL NATURE
LONG-TERM PLANS:
As things stand we are looking at a late 2021 release date. The film will be submitted to Amazon Prime and then uploaded to a video hosting website like YouTube. We hope to submit the final edit to various film festivals. Depending on the amount of publicity the project gets, cast may be required to attend interviews to promote the film.
