Abba’s Angels – Keyboard Player Vacancy

We are recruiting a talented and charismatic keyboard player to play the role of Benny In Abba for the following show:

Abba's Angels - Abba / 70's Disco Tribute ( some shows are abba + 70s / abba + party set).

We are based around the New Forest / Wilts / Hants border and shows are mainly SW, S SE within 1- 2 hrs of Salisbury.

Approximately 2 shows per month (but have have access to deps if you can't commit to every one).

Requirements:

YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN TRANSPORT – PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A CAR

You will most likely have had a professional music background, be ok at backing vocals / harmonising also, be reliable and organised with your diary so that once you have committed to a show you stick to it, punctual, a good team worker willing to muck in with set up & pack down, easy going and flexible.

We need someone with great on stage charisma who can play the role of a very energetic and permanently smiling Benny. If your face doesn’t hurt from smiling when you come off stage you’ve not been smiling hard enough

If you have performed with another Abba Tribute before you will have an advantage but not essential.

Type / level of work:

All shows are run on backing tracks so you can learn the songs to those easily. Most shows are 4 piece bands (2 singers plus keys / guitar). Typical gig is arrival 5pm, finish approx 12am or bit earlier. Mostly Saturdays plus a few Fridays and the occasional midweek (eg Dec) lift share sometimes available from Woodfalls SP5 or Cadnam M27. Probably around 2 shows per month for the team we are recruiting for, maybe slightly more in December

Pay set fee for shows within 75 mile radius plus extra if driving further (but may be able to get a lift with one of the band) usually get hot meal also on contract. Usually paid on night but does all go through books so responsible for own tax / NI. All wigs / costumes / boots etc provided. Helping in setting up / taking down PA is also required as part of the fee as we don’t have a sound engineer - Training provided.
