At its core, this is a film about sisterhood, taking a macro-issue and bringing it down to a micro level. We are using the environmental crisis as a backdrop to comment on the nuanced dynamics of familial relationships.
We are looking to fill the secondary roles for this short film, being Mischa's childhood friend Cleo, a wealthy woman taking advantage of her status, and a rundown cashier.
This project is being completed with 4th year Film and Television students at Swinburne University. The final film will be submitted to film festivals both nationally and internationally.
The film is set in a dystopian inner-city Melbourne 2050.
Key ACTING references include We The Animals, Room, Beats of The Southern WIld, Moonlight.
