On The Tools are currently casting for an online comedy sketch video that will be aired via our social media communities.

The comedy sketch is focused on the naivety of our construction apprentice who becomes the unlikely hero. Set up by his more experienced workmates an apprentice enters a builder's merchants with a list of classic novelty items. To his workmate's surprise, he manages to get hold of all the products!

We require strong actors who are believable as genuine tradespeople. Comedic experience is a bonus. Please highlight this in your application.

This is a paid project and up to £50 in travel expenses (petrol 25p/mile) will also be covered.

The project shoots in Birmingham on 02/02/2021.

Experienced Builder

Been in the trade for a while. A practical joker - he loves pranking the younger apprentices. He's fun and kind at heart. Must look like a genuine builder. Must be plus size.

Apprentice

Our hero! A young builder's apprentice. He is eager to please and willing to learn. He does not have much experience on-site - very new to the trade. A little bit rough around the edges but has an innocence about him. Experienced in subtle comedy but not too OTT. Believable as a youngster entering the construction industry.
