Lead & Supporting Cast Wanted for Black-led Sci-Fi Web Series

London, UK
Listed by View details

We're looking for actors to fill the five main roles of SILVERBACK, a six-part comic book-inspired sci-fi crime thriller set in East London.

SILVERBACK follows Dee, an ex-offender who investigates the death of her younger brother: a tech prodigy-turned-masked vigilante.

The series is a grounded and uniquely British take on the Superhero genre, with a predominately Black cast & creative team.

The series is being produced as part of a Film MA, and the project is unfortunately unpaid, but a crowdfunding campaign is being organised to cover production expenses. An extended goal has also been plan; if this is reached, it will be used to pay all cast and crew a nominal fee.

Audition / Rehearsal / Production dates

Shooting to take place from mid-July.

Job payment

Unpaid – this is a collaboration opportunity

Expenses paid - Travel; food will be provided on set

Collaborations should create mutual benefit and are usually amateur, student or 'Time for Print' projects.

All advertisers agree to abide by the UK National Minimum Wage Act and are responsible for defining the nature of their production and any payment requirements. Find out more.

Dee Igoni

Athletic, Street Smart, Intimidating. Dee is a native East Londonder with a Nigerian father and a French-Togolese mother, who both see her as the Black Sheep of the family. Confident, Relaxed, Paternal. Marcus is a reformed gang member; the one responsible for recruiting Dee and many other "Youngers" in the past. Marcus would keep them in line with a delicate mix of care and intimidation. To keep his sister happy, he distanced himself from the rest of the gang; this became a lot easier when The Silverback arrived on the scene. A lover of vintage records, Marcus now DJs at a bar he co-owns. Unfortunately for him, it's not that easy keeping your past behind you.
