THE SHOW
These roles are for the final episode of a parody drama series, Double Oh No. My 64-year-old dad stars as a hapless spy, investigating the kidnap of literary characters into the real world.

During the final episode, notable characters from books will cameo.

ABOUT US
We are a small book review YouTube channel, making content since early 2020 and until the pandemic ends. This is our second multi-episode parody drama series.

All performers are recording their own lines individually, at home, at their convenience.

Audition / Rehearsal / Production dates

We would like recording to be completed by 30 April.

Job payment

Fixed price of £50

Eleanor Oliphant (from the book by Gail Honeyman)

Eleanor is in her mid-30s and from Glasgow. She has a very literal and humourless interpretation of the world, and is something of a loner.

Female, aged 28 to 40

  • Ethnicity: White / Caucasian
  • Accents: UK Scottish
  • Hair color: Black

Applications closed 29 March 2021.

Harry Potter (from the books by JK Rowling)

We all know who Harry Potter is... We need somebody to make a cameo as The Boy Who Lived and say a couple of lines. BYOW (Bring Your Own Wand). Costume doesn't have to be Hogwarts, but something that resembles a school uniform and a wand would be great.

Male, aged 18 to 24

  • Ethnicity: White / Caucasian
  • Accents: UK English
  • Hair color: Black

Applications closed 29 March 2021.

Hermoine Granger (from the books by JK Rowling)

We all know who Hermoine Granger is... We need somebody to make a cameo as the original Mudblud and say a couple of lines. BYOW (Bring Your Own Wand). Costume doesn't have to be Hogwarts, but something that resembles a school uniform and a wand would be great.

Female, aged 18 to 24

  • Accents: UK Posh

Applications closed 29 March 2021.

Amy Dunne (from Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn)

Amy Dunne is an absolute psychopath. If you haven't read the book (spoilers), she faked her own death and framed her husband, to punish him for having an affair. She faked her pregnancy by stealing her friend's pee, and then trapped her husband by stealing his sperm. So, yes, bit of a nutter. This is a short cameo from someone who can play a convincing nutjob. Amy was played by Rosamund Pike in the movie adaptation.

Female, aged 26 to 38

  • Ethnicity: White / Caucasian
  • Hair color: Auburn , Blonde , Red

Applications closed 29 March 2021.
