GIVEAWAY: Jamie Long Coaching Shakespeare Debunked with Trent Baker
Victoria, Australia

StarNow has partnered with Jamie Long Coaching to give one lucky StarNow member a spot in the Shakespeare Debunked with Trent Baker Masterclass.
The first session is not only for actors and performers but, students learning about Shakespeare as well! The second session is more physical and all students are welcome and encouraged.
Why are we doing this workshop?
The workshop would dispel the myth that Shakespeare is ‘too hard’ to understand. Give the students confidence in verse speaking, help them to understand the nuts and bolts of the text, how to approach character both intellectually and physically. In other words with the full self. The techniques and skills learned can be transferred to any Shakespeare play, monologue, or scene.
About Trent:
Trent Baker has over 25 years’ experience in the Australian entertainment industry as an actor, theatre director, and educator.
He is a graduate of WAAPA’s three-year acting stream, the VCA’s postgraduate directing program, and an International Fellow of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, London.
One of the 12 actors that created Red Stitch Actors Theatre, Trent has performed for Melbourne Theatre Company, Bell Shakespeare, Red Stitch, Railway St Theatre,45 Downstairs, and La Mama Theatre, amongst others. He has also appeared in a host of Australian TV Shows and short films.
Trent has directed for MTC Education, W.A.A.P.A, The V.C.A, Spiegeltent Melbourne, and The National Theatre. Other independent credits include Brilliant Traces for Red Stitch and the inaugural productions for both The Chapel Loft Theatre (Burn This) and Human Sacrifice Theatre (True West).
