Scholarship for the American Art Film and Television Academy's "Get Your Laughs" On Camera Comedy Program with Crista Flanagan.

Crista is a professional actor, writer, and comedian best known for her five-season series regular role on FOX’s late night comedy sketch show, MADtv, as well as appearing on the first three seasons of Mad Men as tractor-riding secretary Lois Sadler. Crista uses her extensive knowledge of comedy to teach on-camera acting and comedy. Other television credits include Dirty John, The Resident, Grace and Frankie, I’m Sorry, Love, Grey’s Anatomy, HelloLadies, Workaholics, Mom, Key and Peele, 2 Broke Girls, Last Man Standing, and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

The "Get Your Laughs" On Camera Comedy Program is comprised of THREE LEVELS:

- BEGINNER: Actors will break down the various types of comedy and how they are technically executed for film and television. Special attention will be paid to the history of comedy in film and television, how to break down a comedy script and the responsibilities of the professional actor. Each class will be 3hrs and will run over 4 weeks.
- INTERMEDIATE: Actors will apply the tools learned in the beginners course and dive deeper into the script analysis to create an ideal self tape for Sitcom. Crista will focus on the techniques and the painful truth behind the comedy within your performance. Actors will be pushed further outside their comfort zones and prepare to audition. Each class will be 3hrs and will run over 4 weeks.
- ADVANCED: Actors will engage in a Sitcom Self Tape bootcamp. Actors will required to tape audition sides each week that will be broken down and assessed just like seasoned professionals. You will build or re-build a workflow and acting process that feels comfortable, makes sense and produces the results you desire. Each class will be 3hrs and will run over 4 weeks.
