Colour Grader Needed for Experimental War Film
The Project's Synopsis: Major Park - feeling abandoned by his nation after a great war - expresses disdain towards his country, which divides his squadron into nationalist and anti-nationalist factions.
The film was largely completed in 2016, but due to my inexperience in colour grading, I am seeking someone to refine the colours in the picture. The short largely implores a realistic look, and although I wish the colours to maintain its natural appearance, I hope someone can subtly enhance them. There are a few shots that have a video-y appearance, and I hope, with the help of a skilled colour grader, we can reduce that effect. I am not looking for the colours to be extremely augmented, just subtly enhanced.
The short film was heavily influenced by the style and work of Malick's recent films so I hope its colour grading can capture a similar feel. Film influences that maintain subtle, realistic looking grading include The Thin Red Line, The Tree of Life, Knight of Cups, To The Wonder, Song to Song.
If anyone believes they can achieve the desired effect, please get in touch with samples of your previous work. We hope to enter the short film into the festival circuit.
