Calling Actors! Would you like to improve your On-Camera presence and add to your showreel?
Film director, Becky Sharpe is offering a fun Screen Acting workshop in central London over three saturdays, starting next week on saturday 12th January to work with a small group of actors and aspiring actors to develop their on-camera presence.
The filmed scenes from the workshop will be given to you for your showreel, and it's only £35 for one workshop or £90 for all three.
The classes run like mini workshops for specific scenes from Becky's latest film script, as well as a monologue scene of your choice. The workshops will involve script preparation, character breakdown, discussion, rehearsals and on-camera practice. You will be given the filmed sequences to keep for your showreel.
The screen acting workshops will be a small group and will be informal and fun, covering different topics, including the important aspects of camera acting, onscreen presence, your casting type and stage dynamics with fellow cast members, and we will apply the teaching to specific scenes and character roles. You will progress from monologue work to scenes with other actors, and build your awareness of camera-specific screen presence that can be very impactful (like eyeline work and blocking). We will also look at multi-camera versus single camera film work so that you can expand your experience of screen technique.
Whether you are a newcomer to acting, or an experienced professional actor, this is an opportunity to:
Gain new fresh material for your showreel
Build your confidence in Screen Acting
Work with a director who will energise you
Get a new insight into your Casting Type
Develop your technical abilities for camera
