Success Stories

Since joining StarNow I have had many wonderful opportunities for work, meeting great people along the way. While I still look for work for myself, I also use StarNow to scout talent for my own projects - which has been very successful. I have recently gained pro status and I am in the top 5% of StarNow which is a great achievement for me!

Since being on StarNow I have been signed by an agency, catwalked for multi award winning salon Voodou at Cream and taken part in over 20 'Miss' titles including Miss England. I have also had work with ITV and BBC3.

After applying to represent NZ at WCOPA 2011 and receiving a raft of gold medals, it put my career back on track. Dreams can become reality, you just need to take the steps to make it happen. I've had a write up in a national magazine & Marlaina's Kitchen FB Page now has 24k followers. 'A Seasoning' will be released 2016.

My track Bhangra, Bhangra has been used in a Romanian film called The Fixer. The movie was entered in last year's Toronto International Film Festival.

Through my StarNow profile page I was picked, just on my look, to portray Aunt Alberta from David Walliams book "Awful Auntie". It was for a book signing he did and I was there to mingle with the children and pose for photos. I was also asked to sign the book as Alberta by loads of the children there. A truly wonderful experience.

At 18 I was a runner for Kojo’s 'Above Romance' in Hackney Empire. This inspired me to become an actor. I learnt the industry and got small roles, my biggest being in the web series 'Badman'. I managed to get signed with an agency with help from StarNow and now I’m performing at the Royal Opera Hall in 2018.

I've been modelling for just a year and I'm seeing myself in shop windows and travelling to places I wouldn't have dreamed of! Taking every opportunity that comes my way.

A great big thank you to StarNow! I have acquired paid TV commercial work for Hampson Hughes and Adopt Northwest. Adopt Northwest was also shown on 'This Morning' and their posters featured on buses around the Northwest. I have gained vast acting experience which has lead to many paid acting roles, and IMDB credits.

I signed up to StarNow 3 months ago and in that time I've starred in four music videos, plus a film. The experience and contacts I've made have been fantastic.

I applied for an ad looking for actors willing to participate in extreme sports. Nervously I attended the audition, two weeks later I was flown to New York to film a hair-raising commercial! StarNow is an incredible platform to find some incredible opportunities that you wouldn't otherwise have exposure to!

I applied to a casting on StarNow for Extras in a Zombie film. I had a great day filming in Bradford and have subsequently had offers for upcoming productions with the same Director later this year, and possibly next year as well!
